For physics our group did a project about acceleration so what we came up with is that we made an accelerometer. We made it out of a tennis ball and string. First we put a string around the tennis ball then taped the string to the ball and that's our accelerometer. To make sure it works we made a distance and made people walk and run to the certain distance. That's what we did for our Ted x event.

Technical Presentation Script
Good afternoon my name is Christian Curiel.I am the Dvc graduating class of 2019 and this is my lightbox presentation. For my lightbox it took me a while to get ideas for my pictures because i didn’t know what picture to use so i just got pictures of what i like such as: apple,video games ,computers and baseball. I picked the color blue for my light box because my favorite color is blue and also the color of my favorite baseball team the Dodgers. I used spray paint to paint my box because it was way easier and faster to do. To put the box together i used masking tape. I used a box cutter to make my viewing portal, For the mirrors i used a hot glue gun so that the mirrors will not come off ,they were 2-inch mirrors. I picked this image to see through the viewing portal because i am open about myself and full of lots of possibilities. For the light source i used a christmas light. My top three ideas were very different from each other so i went with this one. This is my finished product. |

Physics: Sound are produced when something vibrates. The waves are produced by the type of sound that you are listening to. The sound waves travel from your hearing device to the inside of your ear which receives the sound. The sound wave will travel through the ear canal, go to the eardrum then the sound will go to your brain sending signals back into your ear so that you have the ability to hear. Circuits: The part the circuits plays in our computer is when the headphone jack goes and connects to the audio jack to get sound from your device. The parts of the headphones that are included in the circuit will be the speaker and the wiring from the speaker to the 3.5mm headphone jack. The circuit that will be used in the project is a parallel series combination circuit. Electromagnetism: Induction is used to create a loop of wires that surround the listening area, electromagnetism is being used when the person wearing the headphones, turns the volume up or down. The strength of an electromagnet can easily be changed by changing the amount of electric current that flows through it. The poles of an electromagnet can even be reversed by reversing the flow of electricity. An electromagnet works because an electric current produces a magnetic field.
Engineering: For my brainstorming I wanted to make my headphones about who I am and what I want to become in the future. For my research I found out the different parts of the headphone such as the speakers, the headband and the wiring. For my top 3 ideas I had to make three types of designs that I wanted on my headphones, once I do that I get to pick whichever one I think is the best then I start to make the project. For the final idea I picked the one with the doctor objects on it because that’s what I really want to be. For my prototype our teacher will give us the materials we need in order to create the headphones. For physics we had to create headphones and make it out of any thing we please. we had to connect the wire to a headphone jack to see if they work,and create a presentation about our engineering design process.
